Odisha’s brackish water lagoon the Chilika Lake is spread over the districts Puri, Khurda and Ganjam of the Indian state Odisha. It is located on the mouth of the river ‘Daya’ and covering an area of over 1,100 km2. Chilika Lake is the second largest coastal lagoon in the world and largest in India.
